Buying for an anime or fantasy fan can be harder than it looks. They often own the figures, the posters and the box sets already, and they know exactly which merch is cheap and which is worth having. These Christmas gifts for anime fans and fantasy lovers focus on things that feel special: pieces to display, upgrades for their space, and experiences around the worlds they love.
Before you buy
- Find their favourite series. A quick look at their shelf, wallpaper or watch history tells you more than any gift list.
- Avoid duplicates. If they collect figures, ask a friend what they already have, or choose something they wouldn't collect, like a lamp or art book.
- Go for quality. Fans can spot a cheap knock-off instantly. One well-made piece beats three small ones.
Display pieces
1. A sculpted anime lamp
A lamp gives them light and a centrepiece in one. Our handmade Goku lamp is a sculpted figure cast in clear epoxy resin and lit from below with a warm white LED, so it glows on a desk at night and still looks like a display figure during the day. Browse all anime and fantasy lamps.
2. A fantasy scene lamp
For fans of epic fantasy, the Lord of the Rings lamp holds a full Middle-earth scene, and the One Ring lamp puts the ring at the centre with an ember-like glow. Wizarding-world fans have the Harry Potter lamp; see our Harry Potter Christmas gifts guide too.
3. A sci-fi or monster lamp
Sci-fi fans will recognise the dogfight in the Star Wars lamp, the Xenomorph lamp suits horror fans, and the Kaiju (Godzilla) lamp is made for giant-monster movie nights.
4. A dragon from a favourite film
The Toothless & Light Fury lamp brings the How to Train Your Dragon pair together on a wood base.
5. A display case or floating shelf
If they already own a lot of figures, a dust-free glass case or a set of floating shelves helps them show off what they have.
Upgrades for their room
6. Desk and gaming setup gear
A large desk mat, custom keycaps in their series' colours or a monitor light bar are gifts they'll use every day.
7. Warm accent lighting
Soft, warm lighting makes any fan's room feel finished. Our anime room decor ideas guide has more inspiration.
8. Framed art prints
Official art prints or work by independent fan artists look far better framed than taped to a wall.
Books and media
9. An art book
Official art books show concept sketches, character designs and backgrounds, and are a treat to leaf through.
10. A manga box set or special edition
Collector's editions with better paper and extra art are worth more to a fan than the standard volumes they already own.
Experiences
11. Convention or screening tickets
A day at a convention, a film screening or a live concert of anime soundtracks is a memory, not another object.
12. A streaming or manga subscription
A year of a streaming or digital manga service is a practical gift for someone who watches or reads a lot.

Frequently asked questions
Something handmade or displayable that they wouldn't buy for themselves, such as a sculpted lamp of their favourite character, an art book or an experience.
No. Plenty of adult fans want display pieces and quality editions rather than toys, which is why handmade and collector items make good gifts.
A special edition of the series they love, a map print of the world, or a lamp inspired by it, like the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter lamps.
